10/11 – Send Weekend
Join us for Send Weekend as we live out our calling to love and serve others in Jesus’ name. On this Saturday morning, our student ministry will head out to visit and encourage our homebound church members as well as spend time at local nursing homes. This is a special opportunity to show care, pray with people, and share the hope of Christ with those who may feel forgotten. Come ready to serve with joy, build relationships, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Meet at Pine Terrace Baptist Church before heading out 9:45 AM- Ending time will depend on projects. We will text. those who RSVP the week of. Students will serve in teams visiting homes and nursing facilities Let’s go together and make an eternal impact!
10/11 & 12 – 21st Annual Munson Heritage Festival
Come enjoy this 2-day celebration of culture and history! Petting zoo, pony rides, sawmill demonstrations, grist mill demonstrations, antique tractor show, sugar cane, arts and crafts, Florida wildlife exhibition, turpentine display, Alger Sullivan Historical Society, food, and live music.
10/16 – Steam Day
STEAM Day is held at the library each month and features a different theme. Speak with a staff member for more information.
10/23 – Fourth Thursday Special Dance
Fourth Thursday Special Dance for our friends with special needs and their families will take place on Thursday, 10/23/25. All are welcome. The dance will run from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Parish Hall at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The theme for this month’s dance is Halloween!!!! The dance is hosted by the Knights of Columbus Council 7027 in Milton and the Ladies Auxiliary of Saint Rose Catholic Church.
10/24 – Trunk or Treat for students with special needs
The event is hosted by SRCDS ESE Department and is designed especially for students with special needs and their families. Quiet music, non-scary decorations and allergy-friendly treats will be included.
10/25 – 2025 Fenner Ride
Get ready to ride! The 2025 Fenner Ride, proudly presented by Flora McConnell Hammond and Carolyn McConnell Reeder, is just around the corner. On October 25, 2025, participants will enjoy routes that start in the historic city of Milton and include the woodlands of the Blackwater Forest. Riders will be able to experience Northwest Florida’s native wildlife, natural environments, and beautiful scenery. This ride includes routes for all cycling levels: 18, 44, 64, or 100 miles. This cycling event is dedicated to the memory of Fenner McConnell and Matt Wantz.
11/11 – Veteran’s Day Parade & Ceremony
the SRC Veterans Memorial Foundation parade. Parade (weather permitting) Roll time: 9:30 AM (staging begins at 8:00 AM)
Route: From Milton High School’s north parking lot on Raymond Hobbs St. → Stewart St. → Berryhill St. → Willing St. → ending at Jernigan’s Landing
Ceremony
Location: Veteran’s Memorial on South Willing Street
Start: Approximately 11:00 AM
Length: 30–45 minutes
Cleanup follows immediately after, with all activities concluded by noon.

11/25 – 2025 Farm to City Food Distribution
UF/IFAS West Florida Research & Education Center (WFREC), in partnership with Feeding the Gulf Coast and Waterfront Rescue Mission, will once again host National Farm to City Week — Nov. 26–Dec. 3, 2025.
To mark the occasion, a Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Food Distribution will help families in need across Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties
