This year we have a new route. Parade will started at James St and Stewart St and roll down Stewart St and end at the Burger King at Hwy 90. (Parade will not turn on Berryhill)

The Novel Ideas Book Club meets at 10 a.m. on the second Monday of the month beginning in February. Come listen and share your thoughts about the book of the month. Anyone ages 18+ who has read the book is welcome to attend. Refreshments are provided by the Friends of the Milton Library November: “Where Coyotes Howl” by Sandra Dallas

Route: From Milton High School’s north parking lot on Raymond Hobbs St. → Stewart St. → Berryhill St. → Willing St. → ending at Jernigan’s Landing

Ceremony

Location: Veteran’s Memorial on South Willing Street

Start: Approximately 11:00 AM

Length: 30–45 minutes

Cleanup follows immediately after, with all activities concluded by noon.

This event will bring together local families, healthcare providers and community organizations to celebrate and support expectant and new parents, with support of SRC Dept. of Health, Ascension Sacred Heart Maternity, Eglin FCU and more. Enjoy food trucks and learn about what the community can do to support local families. Those interested are encouraged to call/message for more information.

UF/IFAS West Florida Research & Education Center (WFREC), in partnership with Feeding the Gulf Coast and Waterfront Rescue Mission, will once again host National Farm to City Week — Nov. 26–Dec. 3, 2025.

To mark the occasion, a Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Food Distribution will help families in need across Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties

Game day is held at the Milton Library on the second Saturday of the month. Bring games from home, or play those provided by the library. This event is open to all ages, and game groups are welcome.

Celebrate the heart of Santa Rosa County at Rural Roots Day – Ag Expo, a family-friendly event showcase. Rural Roots Day will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UF/IFAS Research Center, 4253 Experiment Drive in Jay. This Santa Rosa County agricultural heritage event connects families with the farmers, traditions, and values that define our rural roots.

CDAC will be hosting a free “Let’s Talk About Vaping” educational discussion with panel experts on December 11, 2025. The panel experts will be a representative from the Santa Rosa County School District, Mayor Heather Lindsey, Chief Jennifer Frank, a school resource officer, and a SWAT student. This will be an in-person and a TEAMS on-line event. Please go to CDAC’s website under News for the link to the event.

Santa will take a break from his preparations at the North Pole to visit Santa Rosa County Libraries. You’ll be treated to a Christmas story and a gift from Santa. Please bring your camera if you would like a picture taken with Santa. All ages are welcome. Area Friends of the Library are sponsoring this visit.

Come check out photos with Santa, holiday shopping, food trucks, live music and bounce houses.

Visit the Jay Library on the 4th Tuesday each month for As the Page Turns, an adult book club where patrons choose what to read. January’s selection is historical fiction novel “The Underground Library” by Jennifer Ryan. The rest of the year is reader’s choice within a specific genre. This meeting’s genre is Holiday Favorites, and the suggested title is “The Christmas Cottage” by T. Davis Bunn. Holiday-favorite movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” (rated PG) will be shown.

RIPTIDE is bringing their high energy Rock show to The Country Gym in Milton for an unforgettable NYE Party.

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church annual Winter Arts and Crafts Fair is Dec 5 and 6. This event will be held at the historic church’s parish hall located at 6850 Oak Street, Milton, Fla. Hours are Friday, 11am to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Just in time for Christmas, enjoy the day browsing one-of-a-kind custom jewelry, art, woodcrafts, candles and other creative handiwork. Retail sales vendors also will showcase their great products and food trucks as well. The Episcopal Church Women will be selling baked goods and homemade turkey gumbo and the Men’s Group will be grilling hamburgers.
