AND INTENT TO CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE

The Santa Rosa County Zoning Board and Board of County Commissioners will conduct public hearings to consider a change of land use and/or rezoning of land areas depicted on the maps within this advertisement. The hearings are scheduled as follows:

Zoning Board (to consider and make a recommendation on the proposals):
Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 6:00 p.m.

Board of County Commissioners (to consider adoption of the ordinance):
Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.

The Zoning Board meeting and the Board of County Commissioners meeting will be held at the Santa Rosa County Administrative Center in the Board Meeting Room, 6495 Caroline Street, Milton, Florida. At the public hearings, the Zoning Board and Board of County Commissioners shall consider the ordinances entitled:

AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SANTA ROSA COUNTY, FLORIDA; AMENDING ORDINANCE 21-19 AS AMENDED; AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICTS AS DEPICTED IN THE ATTACHED MAPS; APPROVING THE AMENDMENTS TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE AS DEPICTED IN THE ATTACHED MAPS; AMENDING ORDINANCE 2021-13; AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE SANTA ROSA COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; CHANGING THE LAND USE CLASSIFICATIONS AS DEPICTED IN THE ATTACHED MAPS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Zoning District Amended: from HCD (Highway Commercial Development) to R3 (Medium High Density Residential) - total approximately 1.58 (+/-) acres

Future Land Use Amended: from COMM (Commercial) to RES (Residential)- total approximately 1.58 (+/-) acres

The proposed ordinance and map may be inspected by the public prior to the above scheduled meetings at the Santa Rosa County Planning Department, 6051 Old Bagdad Highway, Milton, Florida. The agenda and backup documentation will be available via the Meetings & Agendas Page of the County’s website at www.santarosa.fl.gov approximately 1 week prior to each scheduled meeting. Interested parties may appear at the meetings and be heard with respect to this proposed ordinance. All interested parties should take notice that if they decide to appeal any decision made by the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter coming before said Board at said meeting, it is their individual responsibility to insure that a record of proceedings they are appealing exists and for such purpose they will need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record shall include the testimony and the evidence upon which their appeal is to be based.

The Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

The purpose of this meeting is for the Acquisition and Restoration Council to take public testimony on the 2022 Florida Forever Cycle 2 project proposals and existing land acquisition projects.

Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners
To Consider a Petition to Establish
Jubilee Community Development District

DATE: September 22, 2022

Milton, Florida 32570

In compliance with the provisions of Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, a public hearing will be held by the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners on the 22nd day of September, 2022 at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard at the Board Room, Santa Rosa County Administrative Center, 6495 Caroline Street, Milton, Florida 32570, to consider a petition to establish the Jubilee Community Development District. The proposed Jubilee Community Development District is comprised of 1,558.2 acres, generally located south of Willard Norris Road, east of Mahogany Drive, north of Berryhill Road, and west of Pond Creek. The petitioner has proposed to establish the Jubilee Community Development District to plan, finance, acquire, construct, operate and maintain infrastructure and community facilities which may be authorized by such district under Florida law, including but not limited to: roadway improvements, stormwater management, water and sewer improvements, electrical undergrounding, landscape and signage, parks, trails and amenities, and other infrastructure. This is not a rezoning or comprehensive plan change.
A copy of the petition is open to public inspection Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Santa Rosa County Attorney’s Office, 6495 Caroline Street, Suite C, Milton, Florida 32570, (850) 983-1877.
All interested persons and affected units of general-purpose government shall be given an opportunity to appear at the hearing and present oral or written comments on the petition. Any persons or affected unit of general-purpose local government, who wish to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at this public hearing will need a record of the proceedings. For that purpose, the person or unit of general-purpose local government may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made that includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

Notice is hereby given that the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids for the demolition and cleanup of structures located at various properties in Santa Rosa County. Only properly licensed and insured contractors are invited to bid.

All proposals must be in writing and delivered by hand, overnight courier service, or U.S. Mail to the Santa Rosa County Procurement Department, 6495 Caroline Street, Suite M, Milton, Florida 32570, and must be received by 10:00 a.m. on September 15, 2022, at which time will be publicly opened. Only proposals received by the afore stated time and date will be considered. E-mailed proposal responses will be rejected. All proposals shall be sealed and clearly labeled, “ITB 22-050 Abatements”. Please provide the original proposal, labeled “ORIGINAL”, and one (1) electronic file in OCR (readable) PDF format.
