Lane closure expected Oct. 25 for Hialeah Street in Milton

| Staff Reporters
Hialeah Street at 6043 Hialeah Street will be closed to one lane beginning Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, for drainage improvements in the area. Flagmen will be on-site directing traffic. Drivers are asked to use caution and expect delays in the area.

The roadway is expected to reopen by the end of the day, weather permitting.

This is part of the overall Saddle Club Stormwater Improvement Project that is anticipated to take 365 days to complete, weather permitting. In November 2023 Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners approved an agreement with the Florida Department of Emergency Management to accept $397,145 in federal funding to acquire and demolish the flood-prone structure at 6060 Saddle Club Road with no local match required. The structures on the property have since been demolished to allow for additional stormwater drainage capacity to alleviate repeated flooding and reduce the risk of flooding for residents in the area.

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area.
