Immanuel Baptist celebrates Chris Roberts after his return from heart, kidney transplant

There wasn’t a smile missing from someone’s face nor a dry eye in the room when Chris and Tammy Roberts strolled into their Immanuel Baptist Church Life Group Tuesday, July 30. This was the first time in nearly three years, Chris and Tammy haven’t had to worry about today being the last for Chris, who recently received a heart and kidney transplant at Shands Hospital in Gainesville.

Chris and Tammy Roberts are all smiles walking into a room full of friends at Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace. Members of the Roberts’ Sunday School class (called a Life Group at IBC Pace) held a special welcome home ceremony for them Tuesday, July 30.
