Helicopter pilot fined $21K after pesticide drift kills chickens

A helicopter pilot who sprayed herbicides along a Florida Power & Light right of way in East Milton has been hit with a $20,100 fine and serve a year of probation after state tests said chemicals he sprayed drifted onto a nearby property, killing 25 chickens.

East Milton farmers point at recent herbicide spraying as the reason 50 chickens have died on their farm over the past week.
