Gas prices jump – cheapest prices in Milton

| Staff Reporters

In some areas of Northwest Florida, gas prices at the pump have jumped nearly 50 cents since Sunday morning.

The war involving Iran is primarily to blame as it has disrupted global oil supplies, driving crude oil prices sharply higher. This conflict has created immediate fears of supply interruptions in the Middle East—home to some of the world’s most critical oil infrastructure—which in turn pushes up the cost of gasoline for consumers.

Gas prices in the north end of the county are considerably higher than in the south end where prices per gallon range from $2.99 to $3.19.

According to GasBuddy, the nine gas stations with the cheapest fuel are: (as of 4:15 pm., March 10)

Tom Thumb, 5280 Dogwood Drive at $3.17 per gallon

Walmart, 6275 US 90 at $3.19 per gallon

Exxon & Shell, 6760 Caroline Street at $3.25 per gallon

Shell, 5462 Stewart Street at $3.39 per gallon

Exxon, 5967 Berryhill Road at $3.39 per gallon

Raceway, 6125 US 90 at $3.49 per gallon

Exxon, 5799 Dogwood Drive at $3.49 per gallon

Circle K, 5819 Dogwood Drive at $3.49 per gallon

Tom Thumb, 5085 Glover Lane at $3.49 per gallon
