Local churches participate in baby bottle drive for local clinic
The Monday after Father’s Day, the staff at Life Options Clinic barely have room to move.
Boxes upon boxes of baby bottles flood the nonprofit’s Milton office, located just off Berryhill Road, each one filled with coins, cash or checks collected by congregation members at churches across Santa Rosa County.
Volunteers spend the better part of a week counting, sorting and depositing the donations before the totals are tallied and the clinic knows what kind of financial runway it has heading into the rest of the year.

Weekly Column
Like many married couples, my wife and I have different temperature preferences. I prefer cooler — even cold — temperatures. My wife is hauling out her winter gear at 70 degrees. She is usually cold. I am usually hot.
She often grasps my hands and exclaims, “You are WARM!” I sometimes ask absentmindedly, “Do you find it hot in here?” She replies from her huddle of blankets, “What do you think?” We both grew up in northern climates, so I once asked, “What did you do in winter?”
