First Presbyterian Church of Milton Ruling Elder Deborah Potter hosts an event to build altars dedicated to appreciating even the smallest of God’s creations during the season of Lent.

The event is called Soil, Soul and Scripture: A Lenten Exploration of Beatitudes. The Beatitudes, also known as Jesus’ sermon on the Mount, serve as the basis for the event theme. Potter created the event grounded on resisting the big power, wealth, emotion and media in the world, and appreciating the humble beauty in the world.
