It was a big night for top area boys basketball seniors in the Pensacola Sports All-Star Game on March 12 at Hartsell Arena.

It was one last hurrah for the area’s top senior girls basketball players as the East won 65-29 victory over the West in the Pensacola Sports Association All-Star Game on March 12 at Hartsell Arena.

Pace’s Jonathan Jimenez is staying close to home for college football as he signed with the University of West Florida earlier this month.


The standout defensive lineman believes joining a perennially strong Argonaut team was the right choice.

It wasn’t a hard decision for Pace defensive back Caleb Curry to choose the Air Force Academy to fulfill his academy and athletic dreams.


Both of his parents served in the military, and Curry felt right at home signing with Air Force.

Central boys basketball standout Carson Baxley hit the 1,000-point milestone of his career last month in a game against rival Jay.

L.E.A.D. Academy’s Senior Night will most likely be remembered as “Noah Hinshaw Night” as fans and players honored their outgoing leader with “MVP” chants, and called out his name all night during the Lions’ 79-58 victory over visiting Pensacola Christian Academy.

AJ Bon-Jorno’s hat trick helped Pace’s boys soccer team top rival Milton 5-2 in a District 1-6A quarterfinal last Wednesday night at Pace.


Although Pace (14-7-2) started off fast and furious with three first-half goals, Milton battled the entire match.

In a season where wins have been hard to come by, the Milton boys soccer team earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over visiting Freeport on Tuesday.


Despite a down year record wise, the Panthers have not given up.

Pace boys soccer continued its winning ways as AJ Bon-Jorno scored his sixth hat trick of the season and Mitchel Hoffman added another score in a 4-0 victory over Pine Forest on Tuesday.

In just one season playing at Pace High School, Noah Hamlin made quite an impression.


The ‘Swiss-Army knife” as his head coach Vance Smith referred to him due to his versatility,  was a leader on and off the field in a 10-win season for the Patriots.
