St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church will host its second annual Oktoberfest celebration between 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30. It is inviting area residents to join church members for the more than 210-year-old Bavarian tradition featuring uniquely German food, beverages and music.
The Santa Rosa County Commission will have its final Fiscal Year 2024 budget hearing at 6 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 19, in the Commission Meeting Room, 6495 Caroline St., Milton. The Board of County Commissioners is expected to officially approve a total overall budget of $251,355,646.
After months of workshops and debate, the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will review the final draft of its updated Land Development Code at a special meeting beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18.

The City of Milton will pay former clerk Dawn Molinero money she says she’s owed, but only if she signs a “hold harmless or release of liability” agreement with the city related to her termination last month.
The Milton City Council reviewed the following items at its executive committee meeting Tuesday, Sept. 5, and is expected to give final approval at its Sept. 12 regular meeting.
