The extra-base hits for the Milton Panther softball team kept coming in the sixth inning, each one of them leading to a run and further stretching the lead against Pine Forest.

Milton alum Carter Lees part of football history at Harding
Carter Lees hasn’t cried tears of joy too often in his life. But on a December afternoon in Texas, it seemed fitting that he did.
After all, the Milton alum and offensive lineman was part of a Harding football team that won the NCAA Division II national championship in 2023.

The 2023 high school football season had its share of big moments. Navarre won a district championship for the second straight year and Jay enjoyed a turnaround season that resulted in a playoff berth. Pace went 8-2 but was left out of the playoffs despite its record.

Panthers out to prove a point and make mark in boys soccer
Moments after a first-half water break against Escambia on a Thursday night in early November, team captain Kai Sam scored the first goal of the game for Milton’s boys soccer team.
Less than eight minutes later, it was 2-0 Panthers, a goal by Landon Pulliam extending the lead.

Milton Panthers compete at district cross-country meet
Milton’s cross-country teams competed at the District 1-3A meet last Wednesday morning at Twin Oaks Park in Fort Walton Beach.
The Panther boys were seventh overall, with Christian Clement leading the way with a time of 18:41.60, good enough for 44th.

Citizen’s Moving Forward celebrates improvements with open house, ribbon-cutting
Citizens Moving Forward Inc., a nonprofit corporation the mission of which is “to develop and support the development of programs, curriculums, and activities that enhance the socialization of seniors and the educational development of youth,” held an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, Sept. 28, to celebrate the updating of its kitchen and renovation of the interior of its building at 6151 Dogwood Drive in Milton.
