App helping first responders locate those in need

Search and rescue can be difficult, especially if the person you are trying to locate is lost in the woods and can’t be identified at a specific address.

That is where What3Words comes in. What3Words is a proprietary geocode system designed in 2013 to identify any location on the surface of the Earth with 3-meter by 3-meter squares. Each square is identified by three unique words.

What3Words is a geocoding system used by first responders, companies and civilians to locate people or places with pinpoint accuracy. The three words are a set of unique words which correspond to a 3 meter by 3 meter square. The whole Earth has been mapped through this system.
