Notice of Sale of Surplus Property
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will conduct a Sale of Surplus Property by Sealed Bid for the sale of Vacant Land on Tuesday January 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. The property ID’s are 06-2S-26-0000-00305-0000 and 06-2S-26-0000-01000-0000, and are located on SR 87 in Navarre, Santa Rosa County, FL. The bid opening will be held at the Florida Department of Transportation District Three Right of Way Office located at 1074 Hwy 90, Chipley, FL 32428. The bid opening is a public event and is available for participation to anyone. Bidders do not have to be present to participate. The successful bidder must be prepared to place a non-refundable deposit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid price within 24 hours of notification of award of bid, in the form of cashier’s check, money order or other non-cancelable instrument.
The minimum acceptable bid is $120,950 which has been established by an approved appraisal. The conveyance for this property will be by Quit Claim Deed, with oil, gas and mineral rights reserved. Buyer will be required to pay all closing cost associated with this transaction, documentary stamps and recording fees.
The Florida Department of Transportation reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Successful bidder agrees to accept property in “as is “condition. Bidder accepts all conditions specified in the bid package.

The administration of the estate of SUSAN LEE WHITLOCK, deceased, whose date of death was October 9, 2024, is pending in the Circuit Court for Santa Rosa River County, Florida, Probate Division, the address of which is 4025 Avalon Blvd, Milton, FL 32583. The names and addresses of the personal representative and the personal representative’s attorney are set forth below.
All creditors of the decedent and other persons having claims or demands against decedent’s estate on whom a copy of this notice is required to be served must file their claims with this court ON OR BEFORE THE LATER OF 3 MONTHS AFTER THE TIME OF THE FIRST PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE OR 30 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SERVICE OF A COPY OF THIS NOTICE ON THEM.
