Santa Rosa County Animal Services (SRCAS) invites the community to attend a holiday adoption event at the Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter, 4451 Pine Forest Rd. in Milton, on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with the homicide of Danika Troy, 14, who was reported as a runaway Monday, Dec. 1. Troy’s body was found the following day and Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was Troy Dec. 3.

Three former Emerald Coast Lawns employees were recently on trial for possession and use of fraudulent employment documents. Two of the men also pleaded guilty to illegal reentry by a removed alien.
