Sheriff’s Office welcomes bloodhound puppy Rip to its Detention K9 Unit

Bloodhounds’ natural tracking instincts help them learn to perform their duties. But new Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office K9 recruit Rip displayed a different instinct Thursday after his first day of training: the instinct for bonding.
Rip, the newest recruit to the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office Detention K9 Unity, thanks Sgt. Robert Lenzo, the unit’s supervisor, after his first full day of training last week.
