Maya was little more than bones walking when she was rescued in August. Neglected and severely malnourished, with related damage to several organs, she wasn’t expected to live.
Rachelle Stewart, executive director of Tiny Acres Northwest Florida Inc., pets Maya, one of the permanent residents at the nonprofit organization’s farm off Country Squire Road north of Milton.
