The program provides eligible students with meals at little or no cost or at a reduced price. District officials encourage families who believe they qualify to enroll.
Applications must be submitted each school year. Prior approval does not roll over to the next school year unless a family has received official notice of eligibility. Families who have been notified by email or letter that their child is automatically enrolled do not need to apply.
Applications can be completed online at www.myschoolapps.com.
“We want to make sure every family who may qualify for meal benefits has the opportunity to apply,” said Karen Barber, superintendent of Santa Rosa County District Schools, in a news release. “School meals are an important resource for many students, and the online application process makes it easy for families to apply.”
