A Milton woman has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter after a fatal wreck on July 15, according to a report from Florida Highway Patrol.
The woman, identified as Deborah L. Fiss, of Milton, was operating a 2012 Honda van southbound on State Road 89. The van left the roadway, moving onto the shoulder and overturned, ejecting a passenger, also of Milton.
The passenger was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Fiss was transported to Santa Rosa Medical.
Florida HPD made contact with Fiss at the hospital, and she was observed to be under the influence of drugs.
Fiss is currently booked into Santa Rosa County Jail with no bond.
