NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to a Final Judgment in Mortgage Foreclosure dated October 28, 2024, and entered in Case No. 23000797CAMXAX, of the Circuit Court of the First Judicial Circuit in and for SANTA ROSA County, Florida. THE BANK OF NEW YORK MELLON F/K/A THE BANK OF NEW YORK, AS TRUSTEE FOR THE HOLDERS OF THE GE-WMC ASSET-BACKED PASS-THROUGH CERTIFICATES, SERIES 2005-2, is Plaintiff and RAYMOND JIMENEZ; CYNTHIA R. SANTA ROSA COUNTY FIRST PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM

Santa Rosa County is considering applying to Florida Commerce (FC) for a Federal Fiscal Year 2023/24 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The County is eligible to apply for up to $750,000.00 in the Neighborhood Revitalization, Commercial Revitalization and Housing Rehabilitation categories and up to $1.5 million in the Economic Development category. Construction activities funded through the CDBG Program must meet one of the following National Objectives:

1. To provide benefit to low and moderate income persons;
2. Prevent or eliminate or elimination or slums or blight conditions;
3. To meet a need of recent origin having a particular urgency.

The categories for which these funds may be used are in the areas of housing or neighborhood revitalization, commercial revitalization, and economic development and include a variety of activities including:

Housing & Neighborhood Revitalization: housing rehabilitation, demolition of dilapidated housing and relocation of residents, weatherization and energy- efficiency improvements, code enforcement, land assembly or site preparation for new construction, physical improvements activities such as water and sewer improvements, street improvements, drainage and neighborhood facilities. Commercial Revitalization: rehabilitation and demolition of dilapidated buildings, relocation of residents, physical improvement activities such as water and sewer improvements, street improvements, drainage and neighborhood facilities. Economic Development: infrastructure improvements, acquisition of real property loans to private-for-profit business, purchase of machinery and equipment or energy conservation.

In developing a CDBG application, Santa Rosa County must plan to minimize displacement of persons as a result of the activities. In addition, Santa Rosa County is required to develop a plan to assist displaced persons.

A public hearing to obtain citizen comment concerning the County’s economic and community development needs will be held at Santa Rosa County Commission Meeting Room, at 6495 Caroline Street in Milton, FL on Tuesday, November 19th at 9:00 a.m. For information concerning the public hearing, contact Karen Spayd, Economic Development Grants Manager at (850) 981-2072 or by e-mail at Karen@santarosa.fl.gov. The public hearing is being conducted in a handicapped accessible location. Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in the hearing is asked to advise the County at least five days before the hearing by contacting Karen Spayd at (850) 981-2072. If you are hearing or speech impaired, please contact the County using the Florida Relay Services, 1(800) 955-8771 (TDD) or 1(800) 955-8770 (Voice).
