FDEP fines Milton $50,000 for sewage spills

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has ordered the City of Milton to pay a $50,000 fine for wastewater incidents dating back to September 2020.
FDEP is fining the City of Milton for sewer overflows often caused by heavy rains overwhelming the system, sometimes through manholes like the one in this file photo (not in Milton).
