Carrillo, 34, has been charged with grand theft, two counts of contracting without a license and failing to obtain building permits throughout the Florida Panhandle, Alabama and Louisiana.
According to the agency, Carrillo took $19,000 for a job which required a contractor license and electrical license, two things he failed to obtain. He also failed to obtain proper permitting and inspections for the job.
He caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to the house he worked on including potentially damaging support beams vital to the house’s structural integrity. Carrillo allegedly performed similar actions in other Florida counties, where there are charges pending.
Carrillo is currently being held in Gadsden County (Florida) Jail awaiting extradition to Santa Rosa County. Jackson County is also listed as having an out-of-county warrant on Carrillo. He was arrested July 8, according to Gadsden County Jail records.
