Army reservist sentenced to 35 years in prison

On August 18 Judge Clifton Drake sentenced Army reservist William Mo to 35 years in state prison, followed by a lifetime of Sex-Offender Probation.

Mo was convicted of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation—Victim Less Than 12 Years of Age. According to a press release from the Office of the State Attorney, First Judicial Circuit of Florida, the crime was committed in Milton in November 2021. Mo, who was in the Army Reserves, was stationed in Texas but visiting the area during this time. The victim of his crime was six years old.

The investigation was carried out by Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Stephanie Pace on behalf of Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida.
