ANNEXATION
The Town Council of the Town of Jay, Florida, at the
regular meeting on January 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., will
receive proposed Ordinance No. 26-01-01 for first
reading and said Ordinance will be presented to the
Town Council for second reading and adoption at the
regular meeting on February 2, 2026, in the Council
Chambers at Jay City Hall, 3695 Highway 4, Jay, Florida.
The Title of the Ordinance is as follows:

ANNEXATION INTO THE TOWN OF JAY AND
REDEFINE THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE
TOWN OF JAY TO INCLUDE SAID PROPERTY
The details of the proposed annexation ordinances,
including a complete copy of the proposed ordinance
and a complete legal description by metes and bounds
for the above referenced properties to be annexed by
these ordinances, are available for inspection at the
Clerk’s Office at the Jay City Hall, 3695 Highway 4,
Jay, Florida, during regular business hours.
Three different properties are proposed to be annexed
into the Town of Jay. Parcel 1 is a 1.9 acre lot located
at 3550 Highway 4, Jay, Florida 32565.
Parcel 2 is a 19.0 acre plot located at 4143 Highway 4,
Jay, Florida 32565. Part of this lot is already inside the
Town limits of the Town of Jay.
Parcel 3 is a 0.915 acre plot located at 5307 Edeker
Circle, Jay, Florida 32565. Part of this lot is already
inside the Town limits of the Town of Jay.
All interested parties may appear at these meetings and
be heard with respect to the proposed annexations. If
any person decides to appeal any decision made with
respect to any matter considered at these meetings or
public hearings, such person may need to insure that
a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which
record includes the testimony and any evidence upon
which the appeal is to be based.
