LEGAL AD FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
CONTINUING CONTRACT
INVITATION TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
TO: ENGINEERING FIRMS:
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the School District of Santa Rosa County, Florida, herein referred to as the “Board” pursuant to Florida law, is soliciting proposals from mechanical and electrical engineering firms to provide continuing contract services for proposed construction projects in which the estimated construction cost does not exceed $4 million, for study activity if the fee for professional services for each individual study under the contract does not exceed $500,000, or for work of a specified nature as outlined in the contract required by the Board. The contract will be in effect for a five (5) year period commencing June 13, 2024, pursuant to F.S. 287.055. The contract may be canceled by either party, without reason, at the end of each contract year. The Board reserves the right to solicit proposals on any project in lieu of utilizing the continuing contract. Firm’s main office must be within a 25-mile radius of Milton, Florida. The Board reserves the right to select multiple engineering firms to be placed on continuing contract.
All persons interested in submitting proposals may examine proposed contract specifications available in the office of the Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services, 6544 Firehouse Road, Milton, Florida 32570. Phone (850) 983-5123. To be considered, proposals must be received on or before Friday, May 17th at 12:00 noon, local time, at the above address, and be clearly labeled in the lower left-hand corner of the envelope, “Proposal for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Continuing Contract.” Competitive selection and negotiation will be made in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act (F.S. 120).
Letters of interest shall include, at a minimum, the most recent SF330 form, or the information required by this form. Six (6) hard copies of the submittal along with one (1) electronic submittal on USB flash drive are required. All engineers must be registered in Florida. Proposing firms will make an oral presentation on Thursday, May 30, 2024, in the order proposals are received.
The School District of Santa Rosa County, Florida, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals in whole or in part and to waive all informalities.

AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS
STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) PROGRAM
SANTA ROSA COUNTY
Santa Rosa County announces the availability of SHIP Program funds for State Fiscal Year 2023/2024 in the total amount of $2,265,385.00. There is also $393,056.00 of Program Income received from FY 2022/2023. The purpose of the SHIP Program is to produce and preserve affordable housing. The activities provided through the SHIP Program and the amount of funds available in each activity are as follows:

NOTE: Residents residing within Santa Rosa County, including the city limits of Jay, Milton, and Gulf Breeze are eligible to apply for SHIP assistance. This notice was originally advertised in August of 2023 and has been revised and being readvertised to include funding of the Rental Development Strategy.
These activities were recommended for implementation by the Santa Rosa County SHIP Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and approved by the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners to produce and preserve affordable housing within the County. The application period will begin September 5, 2023 and end June 30, 2026, unless funds are depleted before the end date.
