The Santa Rosa County Zoning Board and Board of County Commissioners will conduct public hearings to consider a change of land use and/or rezoning of land areas depicted on the maps within this advertisement. The hearings are scheduled as follows:

The proposed ordinance and map may be inspected by the public prior to the above scheduled meetings at the Santa Rosa County Planning Department, 6051 Old Bagdad Highway, Milton, Florida. The agenda and backup documentation will be available via the Meetings & Agendas Page of the County’s website at www.santarosa.fl.gov approximately 1 week prior to each scheduled meeting. Interested parties may appear at the meetings and be heard with respect to this proposed ordinance. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO ABANDON CITY OF MILTON
RIGHT-OF-WAY

This letter serves as notice that the City of Milton has received a request to abandon a small portion of the right-of-way of Alabama Street for the purposes of constructing a residential driveway to service an adjacent property. Additionally, this notice will be sent to all properties adjacent to the subject right-of-way that would be impacted by the closing of this city-maintained street.

This right-of-way within the city limits of Milton is shown on the map below. Additionally, the City may retain any easements necessary to maintain existing utilities within the right-of-way.

A Public Hearing on the proposed abandonment of Phillips Drive will be held before the City Council on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Milton City Hall. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive comments and make decisions regarding the above matter.

A copy of the proposed quit claim deed is available for public inspection at the Planning & Development Department, City Hall, 6738 Dixon Street, Milton, Florida from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
