Jimmy Forrest Robinson III was indicted July 29 for First Degree Murder by Illegal Distribution of Controlled Substances by State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden’s Office.

Gulf Breeze High School teacher Molly Mersereau was arrested July 29 following the Gulf Breeze Police Department’s investigation of a Crime Stoppers tip.

A Pace man was booked into Santa Rosa County Jail Wednesday, July 9, for his involvement in a drug-related death.

Jimmy Robinson, 28, is charged with homicide. According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation across multiple years found Robinson responsible for the overdose death of a person in 2023.

Last month, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida announced the guilty verdicts of two people convicted of running a sex trafficking ring around the Florida Panhandle and Southern Alabama.

Rayvaughn L. Andrews, 41, of Pensacola, Florida, pled guilty in federal court to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine and money laundering offenses. The plea was announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

Pace Pharmacy owners Stephen and Monique Burklow, as well as their daughter Laikyn Burklow, were arrested for illegal drug possession on June 23. On June 14 Milton resident Rickey Petitt was arrested on charges of False imprisonment and Battery.

Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service on June 4 reporting an alleged kidnapping/false imprisonment that took place in their jurisdiction.

The Milton Police Department has arrested 22-year-old Mohamed Bakayoko in connection with a large-scale fraud investigation that resulted in the theft of $852,983.06 from the Santa Rosa County Clerk of Court & Comptroller. Bakayoko has been charged with grand theft, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 30 years in state prison.

A Milton man will spend the next 15 years of his life behind bars.

Aaron Eichman was sentenced by Circuit Judge Edward Nickinson III, to 15 years in state prison for Aggravated Battery. The news was announced May 21 by Ginger Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida.
