The City of Milton is preparing to welcome mobile food vendors to Carpenter’s Park in early May with the addition of a newly constructed food truck pad that officials say will improve safety, support local businesses and expand amenities for park visitors.

On Dec. 1, the Milton Police Depart announced they had been awarded a grant for $41, 438.65 to purchase new radios.

At a special meeting of the Milton City Council on Nov. 20, council members voted unanimously on four different items to move forward with the sprayfield for the city’s wastewater treatment plant.

At a special called meeting on November 6, Milton City Council members listened to proposals for development of the marina and riverwalk.

The City of Milton has invited the community to honor local veterans during the annual Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday, December 13, at the Milton Historic Cemetery.

Beginning October 1, 2025, the City of Milton will step up enforcement of “derelict, abandoned, and inoperable vehicles within city limits,” according to a press release from the city.

According to a press release from the City of Milton, Milton’s Natural Gas Line Replacement Project is moving forward, with crews beginning to wrap up construction on Magnolia Street and Lakeshore Drive.

The City of Milton announced its intention to begin construction on Magnolia Avenue starting this week, August 4-8, before continuing moving on to their construction on Lakeshore Drive.

The City of Milton has released its Bands on the Blackwater schedule. Bands on the Blackwater will present free, live music along Blackwater River every Friday night from August 29 to October 24, 7-9 p.m.

In May, the Milton City Council approved phase one of the Locklin Lake restoration project focused on dredging the lake. Residents made rampant vegetative growth concerns with the project clear at a July 16 homeowner’s association meeting, held in conjunction with the City of Milton.
