The executive order cites the storm’s potential impacts including its significant threat of heavy rainfall with the possibility of at least twelve (12) inches of rainfall over the next seven (7) days. This rainfall is expected to bring flash flooding, river flooding, coastal flooding, erosion and wind gusts, all of which could damage or harm public and private property as well as critical infrastructure such as bridges, airports, roads, schools, hospitals and power grids.

A State of Emergency provides greater state resources to municipalities, local governments and first responders to better accommodate emergency response needs and provide help with logistical operations.
Santa Rosa County is responding by providing sand at multiple locations across the county. These locations are the corner of Leisure St. and Citrus Drive in Navarre, Tiger Point Park in Gulf Breeze (1370 Tiger Park Lane), Pace Fire Rescue in Pace (4773 Pace Patriot Blvd.), and the corner of Pine Forest Road and Carroll Road in Milton. Residents must provide their owner sandbags and shovels.
