Santa Rosa County Animal Services to host low-cost drive-through vaccination and microchip clinic May 30
Santa Rosa County Animal Services will host a low-cost pet vaccination and microchip clinic on Saturday, May 30, from 9-11 a.m. at Santa Rosa County Animal Services, 4451 Pine Forest Road in Milton. Only cats and dogs are eligible to be microchipped and vaccinated.

According to Santa Rosa County officials, participants must be residents of Santa Rosa County and will need to show an ID. All cats need to be in a carrier and dogs need to be on a leash and wearing a collar. For the safety of shelter staff, aggressive animals will not be eligible for services.
The clinic will offer rabies vaccinations, microchipping and additional species-appropriate vaccines (FVRCP & DHPP) to help prevent common illnesses, including panleukopenia in cats and parvovirus in dogs.
Costs for services are:
- $10 microchip
- $15 rabies vaccination
- $15 additional vaccinations – FVRCP for cats and DHPP for dogs
The total cost of all services is $40. Only cash will be accepted. Pet owners who only need one or two services will only be charged for the services received.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register animals online. Those unable to register online may register in person. Microchips can take a few minutes to ensure they are properly injected and scanned. Community members wishing to participate should plan to arrive early and expect longer waits than at other drive-through clinics.
“Vaccinations and microchips are some of the simplest and most effective ways pet owners can protect their animals,” said Randy Lambert, animal services chief. “This clinic gives residents an affordable opportunity to keep their pets healthy, improve the chances of reunification if a pet becomes lost, and help prevent the spread of serious diseases in our community.”
