The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. just south of Willard Norris Road.
According to the reports, a 46-year-old Jay woman was traveling north along Chumuckla Highway in an SUV. The victim, an unidentified male, was walking along the northbound lane when he was struck by the vehicle.
The man died due to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
FHP is still investigating the accident.
