The National Hurricane Center has released the 4 p.m. advisory for Hurricane Isaias. In the new update, the storm has been upgraded to a Category 2 storm with sustained winds of 100 mph.
Isaias’ center of circulation is 325 miles south of the mouth of the Mississippi River and is moving northeast at 12 mph.
The forecasted track has shifted east slightly, but is to make landfall in Escambia County as of the latest advisory.
