A 67 year-old female from Milton was killed after an accident on State Road 87 where a vehicle went airborne, according to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol.
A Honda van ran off the roadway to the right, collided with garbage cans and continued toward an embankment. The vehicle became airborne, collided with the ground and rolled over.
The driver, a 65-year-old female from Milton, and a rear passenger, 44-year-old male, were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The front seat passenger, the 67-year-old, was ejected, flown to a local hospital, and as a result of serious injuries sustained, passed away.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:54 p.m. on State Road 87 just north of State Road 89.
