FDOT: U.S. 90 resurfacing project update

| Staff Reporters
Drivers may encounter intermittent U.S. 90 lane closures, between Avalon Boulevard and Stewart Street through Thursday, Dec. 12, from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for milling and paving operations.

Project Information

The Florida Department of Transportation is currently working to mill and resurface a 2.5-mile segment of U.S. 90, from west of Avalon Boulevard to east of Stewart Street, in Milton.

Crews will resurface the existing travel lanes, auxiliary lanes, median crossovers, the Park and Ride lot, bicycle lanes and shoulders.

In addition, there will be upgrades to sidewalks and curb ramps to comply with requirements of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and improvements to the seven traffic signals within the project.

This project is currently anticipated for completion in early 2025.

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
