The Santa Rosa Press Gazette has embedded with the staff at the Santa Rosa County Emergency Operations Center in Milton.
As of 8:30 a.m., the county has issued an evacuation order for all residents in Zone C. According to County Administrator Brad Baker, the National Weather Service in Mobile has told the county to expect a Category 2 storm at landfall, with storm surge anywhere from 6 to 9 feet.
