Boardwalk debate continues ahead of Oct. 19 workshop

Opponents of the proposed Navarre Beach boardwalk dominated the public forum at the Santa Rosa County Commission meeting on Sept. 22 in Milton, pressing commissioners on the project as a public workshop is now less than a month away.

The seat of Commissioner Ray Eddington was vacant at the Santa Rosa County Commission meeting Tuesday as dozens of Santa Rosa County residents spoke against a proposed boardwalk on Navarre Beach. Eddington was absent due to an apparent health issue, according to Commissioner Rhett Rowell.
