Friday night was nothing new for Pace, which survived nail-biter in overtime, prevailing 17-14 over Mary G Montgomery in a tightly contested season opener.


The Patriots won the game over one of the best teams in Alabama on the strength of a game-winning field goal by Caleb Nelson.

Pace finished their regular season last Friday night at home, defeating Lafayette 35-7.

The Patriots wrap up the regular season with an 8-2 record. It’s their best record in the regular season  since 2007 when they made it to the state semifinals.
