Avalon Middle School sent an email Tuesday afternoon to inform parents that it was aware of a rumored threat against the school, but that no credible threat had been found.
The email was from Principal Ryan Stokes and said that the school’s administration and law enforcement had investigated the rumor.
“At this time, we have found no credible threat,” the email said. “However, we will continue to investigate this matter. There will also be increased law enforcement on campus tomorrow as a precautionary measure.”
Parents were encouraged to call the school and speak with an administrator if they had any questions.
