The accident, which occurred at 2:47 p.m. Sunday, was the result of a driver losing control of a vehicle, causing it to collide with an embankment on the north shoulder of Occie Phillips Road.
All eight people injured are from Walnut Hill. The driver was a 37-year-old female, and the other adult hurt was a 47-year-old female. The children injured are ages 14, 11, 10, 8, 4 and 3.
