| Staff Reporters

If last year was any indication, this year’s Rural Roots Day Agriculture Expo seems to be another hit in northern Santa Rosa County.

Santa Rosa County announces the return of Rural Roots Day, coming back to Jay Nov. 14 with fun, family-friendly activities.

On Oct. 26, Santa Rosa County announced that the popular expo will be returning to the UF/IFAS Research Center in Jay from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.

Billed as a family-friendly event, the event is aimed at celebrating the people, traditions, and values that have shaped the northern county. The event will feature activities for all ages to learn about local agriculture.

The event will include free food and activities, a fall heritage pie contest, a farm panel, a farmer panel, educational activities, live animals, and a kids’ corner, which features a hay maze, crafts, and a planting station.

Organizers for the event include Santa Rosa County, UF/IFAS Extension, the West Florida Research and Education Center, the Santa Rosa County Fair Association, and Santa Rosa County 4-H.
