Highlights from the Amy Wolfenden Invitational

Pace and Navarre finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the overall team standings. Milton was 11th.

The event featured 15 teams and more than 300 athletes.  The meet is named in honor of a former Pace swim coach who passed away in 2024 at triathlon in Alabama.

Navarre’s Brynlee Kurtz came through with a first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke. She clocked in with a time of 1:10.81. Pace’s Lizzy Von Watcher was the runner-up (1:14.54).

Amelia Ilnitskiy had the top finish for the Panther girls, taking third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:02.40.

For the boys, Brandon Carney was a double winner for Pace, taking first in the 100 butterfly (53.43) and 100 breaststroke (1:00.64). Carney was also part of the 200 medley relay team, which took the top spot in 1:43.00.

Jax Callen had the best finish for the Raiders, placing fourth in the 100 freestyle. He recorded a time of 52.62. Milton’s best finish was seventh in the 200 freestyle relay. The squad notched a time of 1:50.06.
