Santa Rosa County to host Tropical Town Hall

The free event, open to all Santa Rosa County residents, will provide valuable information according to county officials for those interested in protecting their homes, families, and businesses as tropical weather or other severe weather and emergencies affect our area.

Along with Santa Rosa County Emergency Management officials, the event will feature presentations from the National Weather Service office in Mobile, Alabama and officials from the Florida Division of Emergency Management.

Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and win door prizes, such as a weather radio, disaster preparedness bag and other goodies.

“Being prepared before a disaster strikes will make all the difference for your family and our community,” said Tom Lloyd, Director of Santa Rosa County Public Safety in a news release. “When residents take steps to prepare ahead of time, it not only helps keep their families safe, but it also strengthens our community’s ability to recover more quickly after a storm or other emergency.”

The event will be held at the Santa Rosa County Emergency Operation Center, located at 4499 Pine Forest Rd. The expo will begin at 6 p.m.
