Bagdad-Garcon Point Water System issues boil water notice

| Staff Reporters

A water main break on Tuesday morning prompted the Bagdad-Garcon Point Water System to issue a boil water notice for customers.

According to a news release from Santa Rosa County, customers affected by the notice begin at 5547 to 5610 Harbour Oaks Drive to include all of Inland Cove Court, all of Katie Street, and all of Sunset Cove Lane.

Because of the issue, the Bagdad-Garcon Point Water System advises that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
