Santa Rosa County Commissioners approve continuing discussions on bringing much needed traffic relief to Highway 90.

Santa Rosa County officials say progress on a long-discussed effort to widen U.S. Highway 90 could help accelerate the project, but the proposal continues to raise questions about traffic congestion through Milton’s historic downtown and the potential impact on older buildings along the corridor.

Concerns about potential impacts to downtown buildings have in the past drawn resistance from some Milton residents and city leaders over the widening of Hwy. 90 through historic downtown Milton.
