Sims Middle Dean investigated for inappropriate communication with a student

Thomas L. Sims Middle School Dean of Students Joshua Parm resigned Nov. 17 while under investigation by Santa Rosa County District Schools. At the time of his resignation and the district’s statement confirming his departure, the reason for the investigation was not disclosed. The Santa Rosa Press Gazette obtained records from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office related to the investigation, as well as Parm’s personnel records from the school district. According to investigative records, a freshman at Pace High School filed a written complaint against Parm, alleging that he made her feel uncomfortable during her eighth-grade year at Sims.
