Pace Pharmacy owners, daughter arrested

Pace Pharmacy owners Stephen and Monique Burklow, as well as their daughter Laikyn Burklow, were arrested for illegal drug possession on June 23.

Monique and Stephen Burklow were previously arrested in May on racketeering and drug charges. According to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement press release, the arrests are due to FDLE’s pill mill investigation in the area. Their most recent charges are as follows:

Stephen Burklow, 54:

  • 10 felony counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription
  • Five felony counts of identity theft
  • 10 misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs without a prescription.

Monique Burklow, 58:

  • One felony county of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription
  • Four misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs without a prescription.

Laikyn Burklow, 22:

  • One misdemeanor count of possession of drugs without a prescription.

The three of them turned themselves in to the SANTA Rosa County Jail on June 23 after the FDLE obtained arrest warrants for each of them. They have since been released.

The Office of the State Attorney, First Judicial Circuit will prosecute the cases. As per the FDLE, the investigation remains active.
