“We are proud to see UWF recognized at its highest ranking yet, a reflection of our exceptional programs, dedicated faculty and staff, and outstanding students,” UWF Interim President Manny Diaz Jr. said. “This achievement underscores our continued momentum and commitment to excellence. We are grateful to our Board of Trustees, the Florida Board of Governors and the Florida Legislature for their support in helping us reach new heights.”
UWF ranked top 10 in the Best Colleges for Veteran—Regional Universities South category, ranking sixth there as well, which means they’ve also been ranked top 10 in this category for a fourth consecutive year. This marks a climb up from the No. 9 ranking last year. The university supports veterans, active-duty service members and their dependents through the Military and Veterans Resource Center, a part of the Office of Military Services. The office is the central advocate for military-affiliated students, working with the university’s offices to help with VA education benefits, tuition assistance, fee waivers, academic advising and tutoring. UWF is consistently recognized as a Military Friendly school.
UWF also earned the recognition of Best Undergraduate program for psychology and nursing.
