Santa Rosa County District Schools will crown its first official 3-on-3 basketball champions tonight at Pace High School.

The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will consider proposed large-scale future land use amendments to almost 900 acres of property in Milton and Pace at its special rezoning meeting Thursday, Dec. 14.

Shari Sebastiao will again represent Ward 4, Seat 1 on the Milton City Council. The council on Tuesday voted 5-2 to appoint her to the position she lost to Jason Vance in the 2022 election. Vance and his family moved outside the city’s limits, vacating the Ward 4, Seat 1 position.

Florida Sen. Doug Broxson is concerned about the City of Milton’s progress – or lack of progress – on its wastewater treatment project.

The Milton City Council is expected to appoint either Kathy Ellis or Shari Sebastiao to fill Ward 4’s Seat 1 vacancy at its regular meeting Tuesday, Dec. 12. The council interviewed the candidates at their executive committee meeting Monday.

The Florida Joint Legislative Auditing Committee on Monday voted unanimously to order an organizational audit of the City of Milton, starting with, but not limited to, its water reclamation project.

The Joint Legislative Auditing Committee will meet at 2:30 p.m. Central today in Tallahassee. It is expected to consider Florida Sen. Doug Broxson’s request for an operational audit of the City of Milton.
